FAQs

Clear answers to common questions about ESTORA and our products.

1. Are ESTORA pads suitable for sensitive skin?

Skin sensitivity varies from person to person.
ESTORA products are designed with prolonged skin contact in mind, and design decisions consider surface interaction, stability, and material choice.

This does not represent a medical claim or guarantee.

2. What materials are used in ESTORA sanitary pads?

ESTORA sanitary pads are constructed as layered systems, with each material selected for a specific functional role within the overall design.
Depending on the product, materials may include:
  • Mulberry silk topsheet, used as part of the surface design
  • Air-laid paper, supporting internal structure and absorption
  • Superabsorbent polymer (SAP), used within the absorbent core
  • PE film, contributing to containment and stability
  • Food-grade adhesive, used to support secure placement during wear
These materials are combined to form a balanced system, where surface interaction, structure, and performance are considered together rather than relying on a single material alone.

3. What does “mulberry silk-touch” mean?

“Mulberry silk-touch” refers to a surface design approach inspired by the structure and handling characteristics of mulberry silk.
It describes a material consideration, not a claim about performance or outcomes.

4. Are ESTORA pads made entirely of silk?

No. ESTORA pads are not made entirely of silk.
Only the skin-contact top layer (topsheet) is made with mulberry silk. The rest of the pad is built as a layered system to support absorption, structure, and leak protection.
Mulberry silk is used where it matters most, at the surface that touches the skin.

5. What does breathability mean in sanitary pads?

In this context, breathability refers to how air and moisture are able to move through and around a product’s layered structure over time.

It is considered as part of overall design, rather than as a standalone feature.

6. Do ESTORA products contain added fragrances?

ESTORA products are designed without unnecessary added fragrances.

7. Where are ESTORA products made?

ESTORA mulberry silk sanitary pads are produced in Suzhou, China, a region internationally recognised for its long-standing mulberry silk heritage and specialised textile expertise.
Suzhou has been closely associated with silk production for centuries, and remains a centre for refined silk processing and material craftsmanship today.

ESTORA works with experienced manufacturing partners in the region, where silk-related knowledge and modern hygiene manufacturing capabilities intersect.
